The story of Land Level Excavating is one rooted in hard work, passion for the craft, and a family tradition of excellence. We didn’t just stumble into excavation and construction—it’s been in our blood for decades, starting with my dad in 1990.
A Family Legacy of Craftsmanship
In 1990, my dad started his own company in the construction industry right here in Leamington Ontario focusing on renovations and home additions. It didn’t take long for him to realize that excavation and site preparation were the backbone of every successful construction project. He always likes to tell me "you should leran all the trades and said "this one is on you". So from there my journey began in the excavating and infrastructure world and set the foundation for what would later become Land Level.
Learning the Trade, Gaining Real Experience
Before starting Land Level, I worked on a variety of high-profile projects that taught me the ropes and gave me invaluable experience:
✔️ Leamington Town Hall – As a major community building, this project required a mix of detailed excavation work, grading, and foundation preparation—skills I mastered.
✔️ Windmill Installations – I worked on large-scale wind turbine installations, gaining experience with heavy equipment and renewable energy infrastructure.
✔️ The Parkway – One of the largest infrastructure projects in the region, where I was involved in site preparation and excavation, working with contractors, engineers, and city planners to build the parkway from the ground up.
These projects exposed me to the complexity of large-scale jobs while reinforcing the importance of precision, efficiency, and quality work.
